We have had a lot going on in the past few weeks at our house. With the big Iron Man race in town, we went and drove the places they'd be competing. It was a lot of fun. The emergency helicopter landed in our neighborhood twice that day. Brax was able to look inside. Every time we heard it, we'd run back outside. We were able to watch it land and take off both times. A couple weeks ago I was able to help watch our neighbor's son while they were in Florida. We had him two days for a total of 17 hours. It was a lot of fun for Braxten to have someone to play with. I did take them to the splash pad one day and they had a great time there. I did get a new cell phone, but I wasn't happy about it. Branden and I were goofing off one night with my phone and it landed in his cup of water. How it happened, I have no idea because it barely fit in the cup. I miss my phone and absolutely loved it. There are things about the new one I'm liking and things I don't like, but I'm sure I'll get used to it before long. My cousin came down with his little family a little over a week ago. They also only have one child. We had a mother-child day out on the town. We went to the splash pad, go figure, and then to Pirate Island for dinner. It was a lot of fun and the restaurant was great fun. It also had an arcade and little playground in it. The two kids played for quite a while and were sad when we had to leave. It was good for Brooke and I to talk though. It was just fun all around! I am still playing softball and let my competitive side come out last week. Of all days to wear shorts, I decide it's better to slide than be out. I got a nice raspberry on my leg which is healing nicely. Who knows what will happen this week? We also had a co-worker of Branden's come for dinner. I was in a cooking mood, so I made clam chowder and three pies. I decided we couldn't eat all the pie, so I invited some friends over for pie after the softball game. I felt bad that their two kids were up, but it was a lot of fun!

T-ball is also in full swing and actually almost over. It has been fun, but too much crammed into a short time period. I think next time we'll do fall soccer and t-ball. It might make it a little easier. He only has 2 more games and then we're done. He is going to be taking swimming lessons here in a week as well along with his piano lessons. Braxten is busy all the time and seems to enjoy it. He loves to play with friends and just have a great time! He only has two more days of school and is counting them down. He loves school, but is excited for summer break!

Now for the changes. I got highlights done by a professional for the first time ever. I'm not very daring, but we're working on baby steps and maybe next time I'll go a little more drastic. The rest of the changes have occurred in the backyard. The last couple weekends we've put in sod and a sprinkling system. According to the little neighbor boy our backyard looks awesome and it looked terrible before. It is still a work in progress. We saved the gate side of the house to hopefully put a workshop in for Branden and some gravel. Against the block wall we saved room to put in a garden. According to Branden, the garden is my duty and I look forward to it. I was going to post some of my thoughts and feelings, but I think this post is long enough!

I just thought this picture was funny!

You are always on the go doing the funnest things! I need to snag the helicopter pic from you...since I didn't take any that day. The pie was SUPER yummy, thanks so much! Your back yard looks even better in the day light. :) Oh, and, your raspberry was...AWESOME!!!
