I've got to tell you one on Braxten. Last week I went and picked him up from a friend's house and we went to Wal-Mart to pick up a few necessities. As we were walking he said, "Mom, do you want any more kids?" I was kind of taken back and told him we wanted more kids, but it just hadn't happened for us yet. He goes on to ask, "Do you want a girl?" I was puzzled at the question and just told him I would like more kids, but I'm okay with it just being the three of us. I then asked why he asked specifically about a girl. He then said, "I thought you needed a girl so the two of you could do girl things together while Dad and I do boy things together." I just smiled and asked why I couldn't do things with him and Dad. He then replied, "Sometimes Dad and I just need to do boy things so it would be nice that you could do girl things."
I don't have the greatest of memories, but I do remember this conversation vividly. I'm just amazed at how sweet my little 6 year old was to be thinking of me. I don't know where he got all this or why he was asking, but I love it all the same. He is an amazing child.
